mastitis symptoms

If you have mastitis, you might have the same symptoms that you would have for a plugged duct. Mastitis is sometimes a complication of a plugged duct that was not cleared up, so the symptoms are often similar and more pronounced.

You may notice swelling in your breasts, tenderness, and a lumpy area in your breast. You may have red streaks on your breast. You will likely also have flu-like symptoms: you'll feel tired, feverish and achy all over. You might experience nausea and vomiting. Click here for information on mastitis treatment.
